As with many successful port & wine houses from Oporto, Vila Nova de Gaia & the Douro Valley, Dalva was created by a foreigner -Clemente da Silva - a visionary entrepreneur from Brazil.

Today, Dalva represents a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, offering an exceptional selection of wines, from everyday drinking to premium and rare productions. At each level, Dalva’s wines are celebrated worldwide for their distinctive quality.

Vineyards recognised for their quality and character are planted with indigenous red and white varieties (some of which are now used in Bordeaux) to produce these high quality wines.

Planted & brought to life on the steep and picturesque terraced vineyards along the Douro Valley, it is on the slopes of Vila Nova Gaia (the city on the opposite side of the river to Porto), where the wine ages and gains character.

2024 Colheita Branco - DOC Douro

Colheita Branco (white harvest) is a blend of the local varieties Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, and Códega from vineyards on the slopes of the Corgo and Tinhela rivers within the Douro Valley.

Pale straw in colour, the nose and palate are full of citrus zest, orange blossom, tropical fruit and quintessential earthy, savoury characters found in white Douro wines. Medium-bodied with good acid allows this wine to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with poultry and fish.

After careful hand-picking, the grapes are transported to the Gaia cellars for sorting; after which they are pressed before a cool fermentation to preserve the fresh fruit & floral notes in the wine. All processed in stainless steel

2023 Colheita Tinto - DOC Douro

Colheita Tinto (red harvest) is a blend of the local varieties Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, & Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo in Spanish) grown on the slopes of the Douro (Ervedosa), Pinhão and Varosa rivers.

Deep ruby colour and expressing aromas of ripe red and black fruits with floral undertones, all of which are mirrored on the palate. Fresh & elegant to the taste with polish, well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish. Enjoy this like you would a Bordeaux, with roast chicken and red meats.

Hand-picked before careful transport to the winery. Upon arrival, the grapes are fully destemmed, crushed, macerated, and fermented under temperature control, in order to highlight the primary flavours.
