Grapes, Vine Age & Soil A single vineyard of mainly Baga, 60 years old, on granite soil. Another single vineyard of many unidentified grapes, 100 years old, on pink granite soil.

Farming Biodynamic, organic. Guyot pruning. Hand harvested.
Vintage Conditions: A challenging year, with 60% of fruit set being lost to a combination of three-months of continuous rain up to mid-July followed by a four-day heat wave with 45°C winds.
Harvest began on the 23rd of September.
Vinification : Fermentation done with indigenous yeast in open vats. Minimal extraction was sought before pressing directly into used French (225L) & Austrian (600L) oak barrels , where malolactic fermentation took place until the following spring. There they aged in barrel for eighteen-months, before bottling in July 2020.
